Black&White night 2021

Top

This is our second black-and-white night event just as successful as the previous one.
We had an excellent turnout as we can easily satisfy COVID-19 distancing requirements due to our very large premises.
There was an outstanding display by our darkroom group as well as a good number of digitally produced prints. Gordon Undy took quite some time to evaluate each photograph and provided invaluable technical advice. The member’s choice was a beautiful image of a glass photographed by Simon. However the special prize went to the superb print produced by Patrick our darkroom manager.
Well-known photographer and educator Zara King was a special guest on the night with a brief presentation of the various photographic classes that she holds regularly under the auspices of North Sydney Council in their community centre. Some of these might be of interest to our members to improve their photography. And no doubt our club could be of great interest to some of Zara’s pupils so that they can continue to further develop their photography with the help of our members.
Various general items were discussed especially details of our next meeting which will cover close up and macro photography. Also discussed was our upcoming model shoot night to take place on 31 March. Further details on our website Events page.
